Lew Harris has been taking photos his whole life. But it wasn’t until after a long career in reported journalism—as Editors-in-Chief of Los Angeles, E! Online, Movies.com and Entertainment Editor of People—that he started using his camera in a more photographic way. What began mostly as travel photography turned into street photography—Then took an unanticipated turn toward brazen use of color and a deft specialization the in the “ambush” style of photojournalism.
He doesn’t ask permission. Sit on a London park bench, stroll under a Rodeo Drive awning, skateboard past some Venice graffiti at the beach, but do it not unaware.
