Johnny Nicoloro is an award-winning artist and self-taught photographer. His signature style of double-exposure is created entirely in his camera to produce unique and visually compelling images. An L.A. native, his works have been exhibited extensively throughout Southern California and the western United states. This long list of exhibitions includes a show at ChimMaya Gallery in East Los Angeles in 2015 as well as a solo exhibition entitled ‘Hispanic Heritage’ at the the Lancaster Museum of Art and History.
Johnny earned a BA in Theatre Arts from UCLA and has taught at both The Village in Hollywood and Coach-Art, a nonprofit for kids with life-threatening illnesses. His most recent inspiration is the Virgin Mary, so he has turned his lens on iconographic statues of her likeness. “She has always been a place where I would go in my spiritual journey if I was having difficulties”
