Ted Casablanca artists, Johnny Nicoloro and Eric Schwabel threw the ultimate Earth Day and springtime celebration of nature along with Ted Casablanca gallery owner, Bruce Bibby, with their show, “Naked And Lush.”
The opening night brought scores of attendees pining over all new works with stone-like models subtly posed against a fertile landscape in Eric Schwabel’s series of photographs, and bright and vibrant double-exposed photos and one-of-a-kind chairs of floral arrangements by Johnny Nicoloro. Bruce Bibby, also had a marvelous sculpture placed in the gallery's large window display.
Nude male models dripping in paint from head-to-toe in actual gold and silver dazzled guests and matched the similar images of models covered in earth and stone-colored glaze from Schwabel’s photographs. They walked in between pedestals adorned with gorgeous chairs with oval backing framed in either white or gold wood. The one-of-a-kind chairs were upholstered with brilliant fabric matching the colorful portraits taken by Nicoloro.
Light refreshments and cocktails were served as family, friends, tourists, and interested parties ready to purchase some of the pieces from “Naked And Lush” enjoyed a night of fun and the opportunity to view each artists’ own personal take on the theme of a lush and fruitful desert landscape.
Ted Casablanca Gallery would like to thank everyone who attended the successful opening night, and would like to invite all lovers of art to see more of Eric Schwabel, Bruce Bibby, and Johnny Nicoloro’s beautiful work. The show, “Naked and Lush,” will be on display at the gallery located at 388 N Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA until June 24, 2017.
