MICHAEL CHILDERS’ DAVID HOCKNEY WORK MAKES ANOTHER BIG SPLASH

Ted Casablanca artist, Michael Childers,’ iconic photograph, “The Hockney Swimmer,” is making another big splash in light of a major David Hockney exhibit opening at the Tate.

His iconic photograph was the cover of the Backyard Oasis catalogue, and has been featured in international publications, such as Time MagazineThe London TelegraphVanity Fair and American Vogue.

The retrospective Hockney exhibit, which opened on February 9th, covers six decades of artist’s work from early homoerotic paintings to recent LA pieces.

Hockney, who turns 80-years-old next year, will have a full overview of his career from very early work; to his love affair with the boys and swimming pools of Los Angeles where Childers photographed the artist; to his more recent work. More than 160 works are expected to be included.
