Ted Casablanca Gallery announces the opening of a new exhibition of rarely seen works on paper by celebrated Los Angeles and Palm Springs painter Chase Langford. The show “Genesis on Paper” will launch with an artist reception on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Ted Casablanca, a.k.a. Bruce Bibby, wrote a Hollywood column for 20 years that received more than five million views per month. No stranger to the Valley, he has been a longtime desert visitor and homeowner who recently made the move to full-time resident. The gallery, which is named for his alter ego, opened with much fanfare this fall and is the exclusive home to some of the best artists in Palm Springs: Roger Groth, Chase Langford and Bret Philpot, among others.

“The gallery represents an exciting new phase in my life,” explained Casablanca. “Art is my first love, and I’m dedicated to making a substantial – and unusual – impact, featuring contemporary artists with distinct voices and styles. My intention is to offer a highly narrative gallery experience, like a blog, only visual.”

Items from Langford’s series ‘Mulholland,’ ‘Gramercy’ and ‘Maze’ will be included in the show, as well as never before exhibited pieces by feminist expressionist Zanne Hochberg. Select paper works from the gallery’s permanent artists will also be on display, including the popular stationery collection designed by Madalina Garza.

“Genesis on Paper” will run through February 8, 2016, and gallery hours are 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Wednesday thru Monday. Ted Casablanca Gallery is located at 388 N Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs.
